Great ice cream, most staff is courteous, they just need a bigger building at times to handle the demand.

Ordered 2 arctic blasts and both were only once cream for the bottom half. Not normally this bad, so not sure what went wrong😰Too bad charged full price for half of product

My kids love going to Double D's for the candy eyes on their cones. They make an entire face with ears, eyes, and, a tongue sticking out. My husband got a large cone and they made it the biggest, and tallest cone I have ever seen!

Soft serve and hand dipped ice cream with all the fixings and then some. There is also a limited food menu (can't comment on that, haven't tried). Their prices are fair and the service is good as well. Never been disappointed.

Best tasting ice cream! They are not skimpy with the toppings! You can’t beat their cookie dough and dole whip. I drive all the way from Washington just to take my kids here!

Under new ownership and have to say better than ever. Cheepest prices in town and when you order a artic chiller it's full of toppings from top to bottom.

Ice creams good have a nice selection of different types of sweet treats and ice cream alternatives, could have been five star but they are very slow, other than that great 👍

This place is usually pretty busy but never takes too long to get the goods. I am lactose intolerant, which spurred me to try this place. They offer "dole", which is a zero dairy alternative derived from pineapple. The taste and texture are almost indistinguishable from the real stuff. They offer dole in all the same varieties as the regular icecream. If you are asked if you are getting dole for an allergy, but you aren't allergic just intolerant, say you are sensitive. Otherwise they have to use a clean dispenser if it's an allergy causing extra time before you get served. Check it out!

Excellent service, awesome ice cream and the serving size is bigger than you are used to. Great variety of flavors as well as seasonal flavors. Not sure about a flavor, ask to sample it first. I moved to Pekin 2 weeks ago and have been here 3 times since then.

Good stuff, wish they advertised dole whip flavors of the week. Past two weeks I keep getting told pineapple is next week and I go in and its not...

Have fond memories of this place. The giant ice cream cone with eyes. The ice cream is great. They also offer dole whip for people that have issues with dairy.

Only dole whip in the area and worth the drive

People were very nice, got my ice cream and fries, fries were fresh and very hot, you really can never go wrong here.

I am new to Double D's. I can't believe my Pekin friends haven't shared this great little ice cream store with me! I went in and asked the young girls behind the counter to suggest something. No hesitation, chocolate chip cookie dough is one of the most popular items. I ordered one and it was great! I could wait until I could stop back by tonight for another. :). The service both times was great. The store is walk in or drive through only, no inside seating. There are tables to sit at outside.

Completely Awesome! Everyone was satisfied and all sweet tooths put to bed! Seriously Addictive Ice Cream and my god the prices are just as great!

This place is absolutely outstanding. Their icecream is seasonal, homemade, well crafted, and good God is it delicious. My personal favorite from here is coffee monster. Think cookie monster with a coffee addiction and you have coffee monster. Coffee flavored icecream with bits of oreo, brownie, and cookie dough inside.

We newly discovered this ice cream place, second time here on June 13th and won’t be returning, we got two Cookie Dough Artic Swirls and we got so sick from it. I don’t know if it was the ice cream or the cookie dough. Sadly we won’t be returning.

I love the Artic Swirls that you get here, and the butter pecan ice cream rocks. But inonlh suggest drive through, as tge inside service was not welcoming. The lady who served melooked upset until the moment I got my icecream to leave. I felt a little unwelcome but besides that onr bad experience, its wonderful.

Food is genuinely good, and the selection of ice cream and dole whip is wonderful. However... if you’re in the drive through, expect to kill 3 polar bears worth of CO2 from sitting in line.

Best ice cream places ever friendly fun staff

I have lived here for four years now and I just discovered this place a month or so ago. I went to DQ 3 or 4 times a week until now, this place puts DQ to shame. I get the large peanut butter cup artic swirl that has so much goodies in it I thought the first time I got one they made a mistake and gave me someone else's that had ordered extra goodies. And the girls are also sweet too. Will be back tomorrow😊

We are here just about every week for Dole whip. Service could be better -- they are always packed with employees squeezing around each other but it seems like only two people are ever really helping customers while the others stand around and watch the line get longer and longer.

We waited in the atrocious line to see what all the fuss was about. When we ordered we had to go through a laundry list of alternate choices until we were stick with ordering items we didn't even want, but needed to in order to justify the half hour we just spent in a queue. On our visit we were informed they had "just" run out of:• Waffle Cones• Sugar Cones• Crunch Coat• Flavor Swirl (the ice cream was too soft and it would be about 20 more minutes)• Chocolate DipWe ended up getting a bowl of vanilla and a bowl of some dairy free stuff that was more like mildly frozen Gatorade than ice cream. Look, if you're in the mood for a sweet treat and want to have good service at a very fair price, head a couple of blocks down the road to the 8th Street Sweet Spot. You won't be disappointed!

We loved it! A large variety of flavors. I recommend the cookie dough. Can get very busy. Definitely worth a visit if you are in town.

Nice little icecream and more snack. I really enjoyed the "Blizzard like" cookie dough icecream. I also had a cheeseburger but wouldn't recommend it. I would definitely go again!
